The Montserrat and Cava Tour
Visit the spectacular Monastery on top of mount Montserrat and explore the wine country of Catalunya (Cava is the Catalan version of the French Champagne).
We will begin our day by meeting you at your hotel at 9:00* in the morning. From there, we will make our way together to the famous Monastery of Montserrat and the beautiful Royal Basilica. You will enjoy a safe and comfortable ride as well as great views along the way up the mountain.
When we reach the top, like thousands of pilgrims before, you too will be touched and inspired as we explore the magnificent mountain and its spectacular rock formations, and as we learn about the legend of the Black Virgin. If available, we will also enjoy a performance by the "La Escalonia", which is the oldest children's choir in Europe.
Our driving guide will show you all the interesting points in & around the Park and will reveal the interesting history behind this impressive site. You can choose whether you want to take the funicular railway, do some walking on your own, shop for local cheese & Jam, or just take in the amazing views for a little longer.
After lunch (not included, approx. 8-12 Euros) we make our way through beautiful little scenic roads to visit Spain’s biggest cava producer. Step by step we discover the secrets of Catalonia's national drink, and of course, we also get to sample the wine..
We return to the city in the afternoon.
Entry fees to the sites are included in the price.
We will keep luggage in the car / van / bus if needed.
